Mac rain of flowers nail polish

I purchased this pretty nail polish on a recent visit to my Mac store. I originally went for something else of which they had sold out, but this little beauty caught my eye.

Its a pretty polish called Rain of flowers and when you see it in the bottle it looks like a very deep blue with tiny flecks of a lighter blue/purple but when its on it is actually more of a deep purpley blue.

Only down side I found is that drying time seems longer with Mac polishes for some reason, and it started to chip on 2nd day even with two coats of it and a top gloss coat.

Still a gorgeous colour though none the less, and appears to be popular as I had the last one from my store.

Tried to show the colour on this pic as best I could.

Foundation application and tinted moisteriser

Before applying you foundation its a good idea to apply a good primer first, as this will help smooth skin and act as a base for your foundation to sit on, so it dosent slip etc. Make sure you have a foundation that is right for your skin tone.Apply more light layers of foundation then build up to cover over the areas that need more.
There are lots of ways to apply your foundation either using fingers, foundation brush, beauty blender (i love this) or using a damp make up sponge. Play around to see what suits you best.
If you prefer not to go down the foundation route and prefer something a little lighter for the summer, why not try a tinted moisteriser there are some really good ones on the market now packed with vitamins for the skin and some with sunscreen built in, check before buying if thats what you want. These look great with a tan.
When using a tinted moisteriser I like to add a little bit of Benefits posy tint on the cheek area as you can also use this on your lips and it looks pretty and more natural.

What do you like to use, foundations, tinted moisterisers etc, or are you someone who likes foundations in winter and tinted moisteriser in summer?

Sugarpill cosmetics Chromalust

I was very intersted to recently hear of a new company I hadnt heard of before called Sugarpill cosmetics. They deal in highly pigmented and intense colours. The company was set up in 2003. Amy the owner originally bought the line out for the clubbing scene alongside her line of fashion clothing. In 2005 she began plotting her lines of colour packaging etc. Sugarpill was then born in 2010 with colourful and eye catching packaging.

I really wanted to try the products but decided the postage to the uk plus any customs would be too much. Then I came up on a great site http://www.lovemakeup.co.uk/ who were selling some of the eyeshadows. I decided to order the Chromalust as it looked so vibrant and pretty.

I was highly impressed with the packaging and the product, the colour was so pigmented and extremely vibrant ,I fell in love.

Have you tried this range ,if so let me know how you used it and what your thoughts are.

Primark fake tan

Those of you who follow me on you tube will know that I like my fake tan. So on a recent visit to Primark I decided to try out some of their fake tanners. First up is the gradual tanner that you apply on a daily basis and this process gradually builds up a tan (or is supposed to). However I tried this over approx 10 days and I have to say I was very dissapointed as it turned me yellow, yes yellow, but I guess at just £1.50 its not a great loss .
Next is the Fake tan mouse, you apply the product of which you have to shake otherwise it comes out watery, and the apply using a mit. The application was good it went on smoothly, no streaks and didnt leave you with that biscuit smell. The downside is that it tended to tan the body and arms a nice colour but for some weird reason the legs went yellowy, not good when your about to go out for the night. Also found that it didnt wear very well at all, but again for £1.50 its not bad.
They also sell a tanning mit. This I found was very good and is a must in my opinion.
Therefore I think I can say that I wasnt overly excited about these products I dont think I would purchase again, but as I already pointed out at such a low price tag its not a great loss. Have you tried these tanners, if so what did you think?
Whats your fav tan il be doing some reviews on other tanners soon
