Laura Geller baby cakes collection

Ive been in love with Laura Geller products since she bought her brand to qvc uk a number of years ago. And you can create the perfect look with this set of blushes Create the perfect make-up look for day and eveningwear with this collection of blush cheek colours. You'll receive four blushes in Sugar Free Raspberry, Pink Grapefruit, Golden Apricot and Sunswept - a cheek colour for all your make-up needs. Each nugget of colour glides on effortlessly, blends easily, stays put and looks fresh for hours. The set also contains a mirror in the compact and a brush for easy application, and what I also like about it is its small enough to be able to fit into your bag, so you can touch up where ever you are. The set costs £26.56 costly you might think. But bare in mind that these are from Lauras baked selection and they last for absoloutely ages as there super pigmented too.

Laura Geller baby cakes set
I also love Lauras baked balance and brighten compact.  Providing full yet virtually undetectable coverage, this Balance-n-Brighten powder has a luxuriously smooth and creamy consistency. This liquid powder (9g) comes in shades of Fair or Medium to brighten skin and correct blemishes. Carry it around with you in the handy little compact, which is equipped with a mirror.
I apply mine with a kabuki brush. This powder is so versatile as it can be layered on top of your foundation to set it, or can be used on its own as a powder foundation, it really does give a nice finish and sheen and at £22.00 I think its worth it as again it lasts for ages.

innocense beware lipstick

bite of an apple blush

my dark magic

When Mac bring out a ltd edition collection it sells out pretty quick, and the venomous villains was no exception the collection came out on line in the uk and sold out in the morning, it went on sale in the stores and thats when I got my products.
Im a sucker for packaging and for Walt Disney so for me this really appealed the packaging is shiny compared to the usual mat finsish and the colous are beautiful.
I got innocesne beware lippy for Cruella Deville collection, im giving a new one of these away in my you tube contest.
Its a gorgeous sheer creamy nude colour great for a narural look. Im not usually one for sheer lippies but his has grown on me.
Next I got bite of an apple this is a gorgeous highly pigmented pinky red colour, from the Evil Queen collection, I did find this a little different to blend for some reason and because of the colour you must be sparing otherwise youl look like  a dolly.
My most favourite is the mineral eyeshadow from Maleficent is my darl magic this is a gorgeous plummy pink on one side and a shimmery dark purple/black on the other, very pretty. The only thing I would say about this is that the two colours are very alike.

Mally Beauty rise and shine colection

I was recently watching QVC the shopping channel when I came up on the todays special value, this is where something is on sale for 24 hours only at a special price.
The TSV that day was the Mally Beauty rise and shine collection. Although I had never bought any of her products I decided that it was a good offer considering the products that you get inside the pretty bag that comes with it.I decided to google it and it had some pretty good reviewed I also did a you tube search and it came out good.

For those who have never heard of Mally Beauty the owner and founder is a lovely lady called Mally Roncall she is a make up artist to some top celebs including Beyonce.

This is what you get:

I was so excited when this arrived I decided to wear it that day I used my Mac foundation and all of the products in the bag, and I have to say I am more than impressed.
The shadows are highly pigmented and such gorgeous colours, great for green or blue eyes as it makes them pop.
The mascara is amazing I have very sparse eyelashes and am always looking for a good mascara, well now I've found it.
The eyeliner went on smoothly with no dragging.
The lip gloss is such a pretty colour.
The blush is so pretty, its a gorgeous rich highly pigmented pink.
The cancelation concealer covers up all those nasties.
The only thing I was a little disappointed with was the highlighter it wasn't as pigmented as I hoped. Still very pretty though.
This set comes with a pretty bag to put all the items in so great for travelling or popping in your handbag.
I would say that this is worth getting and I would definitely purchase mally products again.

Moroccan oil glimmer shine spray

I had high hopes for this hair product as ide heard such hype in magazines, press and you tube, I also did a you tube vid about this as well.
It says it gives the hair shine and lustre for all hair types as it contains argan oil.
What I would say is that firstly I think it is better on brunette hair as the shine shows more and secondly it is better on thick hair. I have fine hair and I do find that you only need one spray as it can weigh the hair down if you have limp hair like myself.
However my daughter has lovely long dark thick hair and when she uses it it looks stunning. Therefore its interesting to see that the same product used on different hair types gives different results.
It has a very light nice smelling fragrance and the high price tag of over £25.00 is steep but it will last you for ages.
It says on the bottle from hairdressers only, and I did purchase mine from my hairdresser, but you can now buy it online from various sites.
So all in all I do like this product but you must be sparing if you have fine hair.

Models own nail polish

I am totally in love with models own nail polishes. I adore the range of colours from pastel to darks. I was first introduced to the range about a year ago after a client of mine told me about them.
They used to do just nail polish only but now they also do a make up range.
The first colour I tried was Lilac Dream this is the most stunning deep and pretty Lilac polish ive ever used, I have a few of the polishes now but havnt got the full range as they have absolutely loads.
I find that the polishes go on really nice, they are thick and they last for ages, they dont chip and yes I love em.
Another good point is that they are animal friendly so they dont test on animals.
I do find like with alot of nail polishes that you need two coats with the lighter shades but the darker shades you can get away with just one coat.
I havnt tried the make up range they now do but if the make up is as good as the polish then it will be a big thumbs up from me.
The only pic that isnt on here is the magenta divine this is a very glittery polish and you do need loads of coats with this one.

                                                                  Lilac Dream

From left to right pink blush, blue gem, beths blue, lilac dream.

Left to right red alert, nude beige, pastel pink, coral reef

Soap and Glory righteous butter and flake away

I recently decided to buy some of the soap and glory products as i needed to get a new exfoliator so I took a trip to Boots. After reading some good things about Soap and Glory I decided to buy a small pot of the flake away and the Body butter.

First time I used the flake away I certainly could tell that my skin was alot smoother and also the thing that I sometimes find with exfoliaters that they can be a bit scratchy on the skin and sometimes make the skin red, as lets be honest thats what an exfoliator does it takes the dead skin cells away and should leave you with soft supple skin, brilliant if you like to self tan.

I love the soap and glory exfoliator as it didnt sctratch or turn the skin red it just worked superbly, and a small amount goes a long way.

Ive only used a tiny amount of the Body Butter and I have to say I really wasnt that pleased with it as it left my skin feeling a little sticky and didnt seem to soak on, although the smell was nice, but I wouldnt buy this again.

Have you tried any soap and glory if so what did you think?

Review Lush dream cream and handy gurugu

Recently did a review on Lush Dream cream and Handy Gurugu.
I have been using both of these products now for a number of months so felt in a position to be able to offer a good review.
Dream cream is a body cream a rich moisteriser that smells divine. The body literally drinks this amazing cream into the skin. I suffer from very dry skin due to certain meds and I find it leaves my skin hydrated and smooth with a fragrance that lasts on the skin for a long time.
Whilst ive tried lots of moisterisers ive found with some that they can leave the skin with a sticky feeling that dosent sink into the skin and feels awful, this just sinks in.
Afer approx 6 months I am just hitting the bottom so a little goes a long way. I would highly recommend this product and will be repurchasing again.
Handy gurugo is a handream that is really rich and creamy and again a little goes a long way, another fav of mine with a gorgeous fragrance.

Mac rain of flowers nail polish

I purchased this pretty nail polish on a recent visit to my Mac store. I originally went for something else of which they had sold out, but this little beauty caught my eye.

Its a pretty polish called Rain of flowers and when you see it in the bottle it looks like a very deep blue with tiny flecks of a lighter blue/purple but when its on it is actually more of a deep purpley blue.

Only down side I found is that drying time seems longer with Mac polishes for some reason, and it started to chip on 2nd day even with two coats of it and a top gloss coat.

Still a gorgeous colour though none the less, and appears to be popular as I had the last one from my store.

Tried to show the colour on this pic as best I could.

Foundation application and tinted moisteriser

Before applying you foundation its a good idea to apply a good primer first, as this will help smooth skin and act as a base for your foundation to sit on, so it dosent slip etc. Make sure you have a foundation that is right for your skin tone.Apply more light layers of foundation then build up to cover over the areas that need more.
There are lots of ways to apply your foundation either using fingers, foundation brush, beauty blender (i love this) or using a damp make up sponge. Play around to see what suits you best.
If you prefer not to go down the foundation route and prefer something a little lighter for the summer, why not try a tinted moisteriser there are some really good ones on the market now packed with vitamins for the skin and some with sunscreen built in, check before buying if thats what you want. These look great with a tan.
When using a tinted moisteriser I like to add a little bit of Benefits posy tint on the cheek area as you can also use this on your lips and it looks pretty and more natural.

What do you like to use, foundations, tinted moisterisers etc, or are you someone who likes foundations in winter and tinted moisteriser in summer?

Sugarpill cosmetics Chromalust

I was very intersted to recently hear of a new company I hadnt heard of before called Sugarpill cosmetics. They deal in highly pigmented and intense colours. The company was set up in 2003. Amy the owner originally bought the line out for the clubbing scene alongside her line of fashion clothing. In 2005 she began plotting her lines of colour packaging etc. Sugarpill was then born in 2010 with colourful and eye catching packaging.

I really wanted to try the products but decided the postage to the uk plus any customs would be too much. Then I came up on a great site http://www.lovemakeup.co.uk/ who were selling some of the eyeshadows. I decided to order the Chromalust as it looked so vibrant and pretty.

I was highly impressed with the packaging and the product, the colour was so pigmented and extremely vibrant ,I fell in love.

Have you tried this range ,if so let me know how you used it and what your thoughts are.

Primark fake tan

Those of you who follow me on you tube will know that I like my fake tan. So on a recent visit to Primark I decided to try out some of their fake tanners. First up is the gradual tanner that you apply on a daily basis and this process gradually builds up a tan (or is supposed to). However I tried this over approx 10 days and I have to say I was very dissapointed as it turned me yellow, yes yellow, but I guess at just £1.50 its not a great loss .
Next is the Fake tan mouse, you apply the product of which you have to shake otherwise it comes out watery, and the apply using a mit. The application was good it went on smoothly, no streaks and didnt leave you with that biscuit smell. The downside is that it tended to tan the body and arms a nice colour but for some weird reason the legs went yellowy, not good when your about to go out for the night. Also found that it didnt wear very well at all, but again for £1.50 its not bad.
They also sell a tanning mit. This I found was very good and is a must in my opinion.
Therefore I think I can say that I wasnt overly excited about these products I dont think I would purchase again, but as I already pointed out at such a low price tag its not a great loss. Have you tried these tanners, if so what did you think?
Whats your fav tan il be doing some reviews on other tanners soon

Eyeko nail paint

As an eyeko Ambassador if you use the above code when shopping you will recieve a free gift
Rain
Thought I would do a post on Eyeko nail paints. I was first introduced to this brand at Superdrug, then for some reason my local Superdrug stopped selling it so I was at a loss. I then found out you could order off the Internet. I recently decided to try some of their nail paints. Ide heard mixed reviews but liked the colours so thought Ide give them ago. I ordered from Eyeko.com and you get a free gift with your order, which at the time was a free nail paint in tea rose, very pretty muted pink. So I ordered some more.

Cosmic described as Unique midnight black shade loaded with multi-coloured glitters like fireworks in a night sky!

Indigo, shimmery, cool, midnight blue like Sophie Dahl

Lilac, Dip your toe into the pastel trend for sweet nails with an edge as seen on Kelly Osborne

Rain (as seen in my picture)Here comes the Rain...but there's always a silver lining and 2 coats of the grey-blue hue will put a smile on your face

I wasnt so keen on the rain nail paint I found it a bit too grey for me, in the summer I prefer my pinks and Lilacs. But the nail paint stayed on well after applying two coats. I love the Lilac colour I think that has to be my favourite one as its a lot more richer than the usual Lilac, if for example I compare it to Models own Lilac Dream.
